video card aero glass

Video Card/Aero Glass

Right now my video card wont support aero glass, if i get a card that does support it, will i have to re-install Vista to see the effects or will it automatically show Aero Glass in the Visual Apperance area of Vista?
Thanks, habs6091

No. When you boot up Vista it will discover the new device and install the driver. If Vista does not have a driver you will need to download it from the manufacturer's website and point the device installer to the folder where you downloaded the file. Be sure to check for a Vista driver before buying the card.

Should happen automatically. Glass appears if the hardware and the drivers are up to snuff.

Depends, some newer cards that are fully capability but don't have a driver don't automatically load on first boot with Glass. If you don't Glass on first boot, just check the manufacturers website for updates. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
