Any video card out there can do that in hardware (and already does, in windows 2000 and later). The Aero glass effects are a function of the new device drivers we are working with (referred to LDDM). I am not going to get drawn on the technical implementation details of this technology etc.

A VM in VPC does not use the real video card, it uses an emulated video card with 8MB of RAM. There is no issue, this is exactly how VPC and VMs work. To get Aero Glass in a VM, you need to have Vista on the host machine and then connect to VM using RDP.

"Aero" and "Aero Glass" refer to the same thing, to be able to run the translucent "Aero" theme where you can see through the Windows. Microsoft is not contradictory. Because it comes down to the Video Card (graphics GPU) and its capabilities and has nothing to do with the system's CPU processor.
